The Contract Lounge
INTERIORS UK 2012 attracted over 6,800 contract buyers all looking for furniture that meets the exacting requirements of the contract sector in a market valued at £2.29 billion.
A highlight of INTERIORS UK 2013 was the contract lounge which had classic imagery with a contemporary twist, inspired by traditional Italian palliazzo design.
The Contract Trail began at the exclusive Contract Lounge in Hall 1, designed by award-winning hospitality ‘design guru’ Matt Rawlinson, founder of Raw Design. Contract Buyers were served champagne and canapes upon arrival whilst they familiarised themselves with the Contract Trail and observed the hand selected contract-specific pieces on display in the Contract Showcase next to the Lounge.
The Contract Showcase presented a handpicked collection of pre-qualified contract products available at the show. Whatever you were looking for, INTERIORS UK covered it. Offices, pubs, restaurants, hotels, guest houses, retail spaces and public buildings – you could find solutions for all types of commercial interiors at the show.
A dedicated Contract Trail in 2013 helped contract buyers find high volume products as well as bespoke pieces for all projects. Supported by the BCFA and IDA, we developed the Contract Trail to fast-track you to the relevant stands to help you make the most of your time at the show. The Contract Trail enabled people to meet all the key contract suppliers on a stress-free, pre-planned route. It gently guided you through the aisles, taking you directly to companies that supplied a wide variety of contract options from lighting, fabric and decorative accessories to bedding, upholstery and furniture.
