Prolific designer Karim Rashid will take to the stage – and to the decks – at our sister event, the May Design Series.
With an epic career spanning over 20 years, Karim Rashid has seen over 3000 designs into production, received over 300 awards and completed numerous projects around the world.
This May, Rashid is coming to London for the May Design Series. As part of a keynote session at the Conversation Series running throughout the show, the designer will explore how design shapes our daily lives and our future and how the move from analogue to digital has impacted our material world.
Rashid’s list of collaborators reads like a who’s who of design – Artemide, Cappellini, Herman Miller and Magis among many others. He has also worked on restaurants, hotels and museum projects, including the Centre Pompidou in Paris and the Museum of Modern Art in New York. You can see his full list of work here.
Also an avid music lover, Rashid will never turn down a chance to spin some tunes – so how could we pass up the opportunity to see this design luminary take to the decks? The man will wrap up the night of Monday 20 May with a DJ set for all May Design Series visitors keen for a drink, a dance and some design-driven beats!
