...The Lighting Show is back by popular demand, and better than ever!
Running within INTERIORS UK at the NEC in January 2014, the show will mark the return of an industry event devoted entirely to all things lighting. No shared spaces, no mixed messages, the show will be distinctly lighting focused, bringing exhibitors into the INTERIORS UK spotlight.
The show will include several dedicated features, paying homage to a well-deserving industry renowned for its style and passion.
At the heart of the event will be a spacious multi-functional feature area which will house Lighting’s very own bar, seminar theatre and VIP section, creating stimulating surroundings to enable exhibitors to relax, network, and most importantly to conduct business. There will also be the opportunity for new products to be displayed here – bringing attention to innovative new work and ideas.
To encourage a business nurturing environment, the VIP area will be accessible to any visitor who is accompanied by an exhibitor and vice versa, creating the business buzz so integral to a lighting event.
The show will be working closely with the LIA, and will once again host the annual LIA awards – this time with a twist. For the first time in the renowned award ceremony’s history, the results will be decided by the event visitors, strengthening the customers’ experience and engaging them with our exhibitors.
Voting will launch two weeks before the show, with visitors being able to vote via social media as well as live at the event itself. The award ceremony will take place on the Wednesday with exhibitors and visitors able to attend, presenting an excellent networking opportunity and bringing exhibitors to the forefront of our visitors’ minds.
As a testament to the show’s relationship with the LIA, Peter Hunt will be making an appearance centre stage in the seminar theatre each day, to introduce the programme of focussed seminars by industry experts. As Peter explains, “The Lighting Show was historically THE industry show for both designers and manufacturers of decorative lighting, and we are working hard alongside UBM to restore this well-loved event to its former glory. We are supporting the show every step of the way, and I would hope that the industry will do the same. It will be both a joy and a delight to once again have an event dedicated to our industry”.
As an added bonus all LIA members will benefit from an exclusive offer as exhibitors at the show.
We will also be putting together a dedicated industry white paper, which will include key information to help our exhibitors conduct business in the UK, free to our exhibitors of course!
Suzie Ager, Brand Director of UBM’s Interiors portfolio is heading up the launch, and had the following to say about this exciting new venture: “I am very pleased to be able to announce the re-launch of the Lighting Show to the industry. After being somewhat in the shadows for the past few years, the show will give our exhibitors a dedicated space of their own, with its own truly distinctive identity. With all of the extra features, lighting focused seminars, and an emphasis on new product design and emerging talent, we are sure that our visitors will have an amazing experience. An in depth and highly focused marketing campaign means we can now offer our exhibitors an opportunity like never before.”
