After a year’s development, SJS Furniture will be launching its new painted furniture and accessories collection, Martha’s Vineyard, at INTERIORS 2013.
Drawing on the influences of Cape Cod, with its beautiful, unspoilt historic coastline dotted with candy striped lighthouses and colourful weather boarded New England houses, SJS has used a carefully chosen palette of colours for its new painted collection. Ranging from gentle, moody pastels to bright and electric hues, every piece is handmade from solid wood, using traditional methods, and features tops finished in natural wood giving extra durability.
The collection includes furniture for every room in the house and is purposefully designed to be practical and suitable for all ages, ranging from a combination wardrobe with matching bed (available single through to superking) and a selection of chests for bedrooms, practical display cabinets, and an excellent choice of occasional and living furniture, ideal for any kitchen, dining, or living room.
To complement the furniture there is a collection of carefully devised accessories including a plant stand, spice rack and children’s table and chairs.
Martha’s Vineyard will be offered at INTERIORS 2013 in a choice of seven colours, ranging from a soft white to a vibrant green. There are also plans to expand a range of special colours so retailers can offer their customers even more choice and personalisation. As with all SJS Furniture’s products, this range is ethically traded and conforms, as do its Provence, Tiger & Hampton Living and Bedroom Collections, with the new EU Timber Regulation (EUTR) which comes in to force at the beginning of March 2013.
