This year's competition is launched!
With this year’s Interiors UK focused on all things exciting, bold and new, it’s really got us thinking about the design elements and trends that will be shaping our interiors in the very near future.
Of course, new trends don’t just come out of anywhere – we shape them as much as we respond to them. So as part of our latest competition, we’re asking – what would you like to see as the next big interior trend for 2014/2015?
Share your trend predictions with us through a mood board on Pinterest. Your board can feature lighting, furniture, colours, patterns, accessories – anything you’d like to see taking the design world by storm as our next big interior design trend!
- Create your mood board on Pinterest with the title: My Future Interiors 2014/2015
- Choose a room for your interior trend be it a bathroom, bedroom, kitchen – it’s your choice!
- Pin your inspirational images
- Use the Board Description to give us an overview of your board
- Once complete, tweet @interiorslive including a link to your board and the futureinteriors hashtag
The winning board will be selected by an influential design professional and receive a piece of bespoke furniture by an Interiors UK exhibitor.
Entries will close at 5pm on 8th January 2014.
Check out our inspiration board for ideas and get pinning!
As a reward for all of your pinning, we will be giving away a very exciting prize to the winner of the FurtureInteriors competition....
We’re bringing together four fantastic design names to work on a very special chair...that’s right, an entire chair! Social enterprise Out of the Dark will be restoring an original 1960’s Parker Knoll chair, complete with the fantastic fabric from Birmingham City University student Hannah Sangwin, in a colour trend chosen by Global Color! Quite the mouthful, we know!
The chair will be showcased at INTERIORS UK on the BCU stand, where the lucky winner will be able to come and see their prize in the flesh! Until then, we will be tweeting out pictures from our friends at Out of the Dark throughout the restoration. Here are a couple of sneak peeks of this fantastic prize in the making!
